Biography

FRANCESCA PICH is based in London, but wiling to move anywhere.

She has now three years of experience as animator, and she developed a skill in learning software very quickly, due to her multimedia background.

Among other software, Francesca knows how to use most of the Adobe Suite (between 5 and 15 years experience depending on the software) and she can easily animate both with Flash (Symbols or Traditional) and After Effects. Other animation software she can use at a professional level is Celaction 2D.

Francesca made three animated movies with Celaction, and she rigged most of the characters herself. During the process she was very keen getting suggestions from professionals and to experiment to find a way to make her character work as she wanted to. She also experimented a lot with several features of Celaction, including limber, path and effects, and she found a good combination for her characters.

• October 2015 - December 2015: Internship at the London based animation company Howow Studio
• November 2015: Chosen to be one of the Selected Creators for Thortful

• April 2014 - December 2014: Various School Projects involving collaborations with the Old Operating Theatre and Herb Garret. and theEnglish National Opera.
• November 2013 - January 2014: Colorist assistant for a short movie made by Asa Lucander, called “Lost Property”, you can watch the full movie Here.
• November 2011 - November 2013: Collaboration with the free online Journal MassaCritica, writer, animator and book translator.
• February 2012 - April 2012: Internship, and various cooperations, with the web agency EmotionDesign.

• 2013 - 2015 MA degree, Character Animation - Central Saint Martins, London, with Merit. 
• 2009 - 2012 Bachelor’s Art Degree, New Technologies of Art – Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan, final grade 110/110.
